At 15, my son was invited to try out for the spring fashion shows in Paris. I took a month off work to take the gamble with him. It was a time for us to reconnect as father and son, and for me to encourage his desire to grow. Naturally introverted, he faced his anxiety head on by going to eight to ten castings a day. I documented the experience on film with my Leica M6, including each of the waiting rooms, corridors, and stairwells that overflowed with young, international male models--each caught somewhere in the progression between boyhood and manhood.
